Backbending Yoga Workshop

This workshop will draw on a variety of yoga styles and techniques to focus on freeing up your shoulders, hip flexors and upper back. Backbending is the perfect counter to modern living and really helps to balance out our posture. We will focus stretching out the shoulders, hip flexors and upper back in a variety of ways so you can discover in which ways your are restricted and learn what you can do about it. These stretches will have a big impact on your yoga practice as most people are restricted in their backbends as it is the opposite to the position we are in most of the time. The workshop will draw on anatomy and physiology in an accessible way to help you understand why you are doing what you are doing and why it is effective.
